In a major development ahead of the looming November 24 protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday approved the bail plea of party founder Imran Khan in the new Toshakhana case.
Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to seven years earlier this year after her ex-husband alleged that she married during her iddat period, which is forbidden in Muslim law. The conviction came in the same week when Imran and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 14 years in a graft case.
