The Foreign Secretary expressed India’s commitment to continuously support Nepal’s peace, stability, and prosperity when he met Himalayan leaders. Singh thanked India for its assistance in infrastructure development, post-earthquake reconstruction, and COVID-19 response in Nepal.
According to the Embassy of India’s official headcount, there were 643 people stranded in Simikot and 350 stranded in Hilsa till Wednesday night.
The embassy has already set up a hotline for pilgrims and their family members, which also comprises other language speaking staff for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speakers.
