The Ministry of External Affairs announced the appointment of Ravi Shankar, a seasoned Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer from the 1995 batch, as the upcoming Ambassador of India to Ukraine. Presently serving as an Additional Secretary in the MEA.

"Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India," Trudeau said in the House of Commons on Monday.
Notably, in March this year, the Indian consulate in London was attacked by Khalistani extremists following the arrest of their leader Amritpal Singh from Punjab. Later on July 8, the Khalistani group threatened Indian diplomats and released posters of a rally in London.
