Four days after foreign ministers of India and China agreed on a five-point plan to resolve the prolonged border standoff, the overall situation at friction points in eastern Ladakh remains unchanged and continues to be tense, According to government sources.
China has reportedly taken down one of its website after a detailed questionnaire was sent to the email ID mentioned on contact section of the website. According to a report with The Indian Express, a Chinese website china-revival.com had received a list of questions on September 1 but did not respond. The website is now not accessible.
A day after holding a crucial meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar over the current standoff in Ladakh, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China is ready to take "conciliatory steps" in order to avoid new violations of the obligations on India-Chinese border.
