India-China relations remain frozen since May 2020 after the Galwan border clash near the Line of Actual Control, despite several rounds of high-level military talks. Jaishankar on Monday said India is committed to a fair outcome but one respectful of agreements recognising the LAC.

Out of the 90 projects, 36 are in Arunachal Pradesh, 26 in Ladakh, 11 in Jammi and Kashmir, three in Himachal Pradesh and two each in Sikkim, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, all along the Line of Actual Control facing China.
"This is already been negotiated. I mean, an arbitral in 2016 made it clear it's a it's a violation of the law. And so that's where I put that map," said Harris.

Relations between China and India remain frosty over their border dispute that led to a clash three years ago in which 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed.
"We have seen some reports in the newspapers. But, we go by written confirmation. And we have not seen (a written confirmation). Unless we see that I am not in a position to say either way," an official said.
Chinese foreign ministry said on Friday said its Premier Li Qiang will attend a summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) being held September 5-8.
Rahul Gandhi, who recently visited Ladakh claimed that he spoke to people in the region and they said that China grabbed land.
