India and China held the 29th round of border consultation in Beijing on Wednesday, where the South Asian nations discussed ways to achieve complete disengagement and resolve the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Ladakh region.
The Chinese side said that Beijing has stressed multiple times that the boundary question does not represent the entirety of the China-India relations, which should be placed appropriately in the bilateral relations and managed properly.
Addressing an event in Japan, EAM Jaishankar said, "That is why for India, in a changing world, our own equilibrium, our own balances with other countries are changing as well. They don't have to be acrimonious, but the balance is changing."
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said there has been a mechanism to deal with these kinds of issues and suggested the media persons in the hall to ask the question to the relevant authority.

"The two sides had a positive, constructive and in-depth discussion on the resolution of the remaining issues along the LAC in the Western Sector," read a joint press release by the Ministry of External Affairs.
A press release following the conversation had created confusion as Indian foreign secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra had asserted that both leaders exchanged "courtesies" during their Bali meeting. Kwatra had not mentioned that both leaders discussed any bilateral issues.
"India is fully prepared and committed to protecting its sovereignty and dignity," Prime Minister Modi told the US newspaper when asked about last year clash with China.
