Mumbai rains: Earlier on Sunday, 36 flights were cancelled at the Mumbai airport and 15 flights, including the ones operated by Air India, IndiGo and Akasa, were diverted to nearby airports, mainly Ahmedabad amid intermittent heavy spells of rain.
The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Gujarat in the coming days which may worsen the conditions even more. Meanwhile, the NDRF has kickstarted its rescue and relief operation in the rainfall-affected region.
