The Hyundai QXi/Styx, is expected to rival the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV300.
Under the partnership, the three companies will also aim to develop electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure customised for Indian market, the companies said in joint statement on Tuesday.
Creta comes with various features, including electric sunroof, cruise control, ventilated front row seats and wireless phone charger among others.
The company had sold 40,158 units in December 2017, HMIL said in a statement.

The anniversary edition will be limited to 1,000 units based on single trim SX(O) in petrol and diesel engine variants
"We will launch an electric SUV in the second half of 2019. We will import it as a completely knocked down unit," Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO YK Koo said.
