The students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur have hit a 'blind spot' over the inquiry into Faiz Ahmad Faiz's poem 'Hum dekhenge' which was sung as a protest anthem at a solidarity march on December 17 in support of the students of Jamia Millia Islamia.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur Director Abhay Karandikar has clarified that a probe committee set by up by the reputed institute is not probing renowned poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz's poem.
"Hum dekhenge lazim hai ki hum bhi dekhenge" -- The reason why it all began. During a peaceful march at IIT Kanpur, students sang the poem penned by renowned poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz.
