Cyclone Sitrang LIVE Updates: The cyclone, which moved towards Bangladesh from north Bay of Bengal at a speed of 56 kmph, caused heavy rains in parts of West Bengal, Odisha and Assam.
Karnataka weather update: Chamarajanagara, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Bengaluru Rural, Chitradurga, Hassan, Shivamogga, Tumakuru and Mandya districts will receive heavy rain on Wednesday, the IMD said.

Weather update: As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), Uttar Pradesh recorded an average of 22.5 mm rainfall on Sunday, which is 2396 per cent more than the 'long period average' (LPA) for the day.
Delhi weather update: On Saturday, the traffic control room received four calls of waterlogging from Pragati Maidan, Dhaula Kuan flyover, Maharani Bagh to Kilokari and Jhandewalan roundabout on Panchkuiyan Road, an official statement read.
The IMD has predicted a heavy rainfall spell from Friday onwards. The upcoming rain spell may continue for 3-4 days, it said.
Delhi-NCR rains: The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Saturday as well, cautioning people about moderate rain at most places in Delhi while heavy rains are expected at a couple of locations.

Macha Bollaram at Alwal received 91.9 mm of rainfall, followed by LB Nagar (84.3 mm), Dabeerpura near Charminar (77.5 mm) and Mailardevpally (71.3 mm) from 8.30 am to 8 pm today, according to official data.
Rajasthan weather update: Torrential rains have created a flood-like situation in Rajasthan’s three districts - Jhalawar, Dholpur and Baran -- where the army and disaster relief team carried out rescue operations.
Karnataka weather update: IMD said heavy rain will lash Karnataka for the next three days and issued a yellow alert for the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Kodagu, Hassan and Kolar.
Himachal, Uttarakhand rains: Mandi, Kangra and Chamba were the worst affected districts, officials said. The railway bridge over the Chakki river on the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh also collapsed in the calamity.
Odisha IMD alert: A fresh flood threat looms over northern Odisha as many parts in the region were pounded by heavy rain on Friday night, following which many rivers might have swollen, a senior official said.
IMD alert in Odisha: Social media was flooded with posts on the possibility of a cyclone following the US Joint Typhoon Warning Center’s (JTWC) warning on Thursday that the system has the potential to intensify into a cyclone.
Odisha flood: The flood water is being discharged from Hirakud reservoir through 40 gates and the inflow of flood water from the dam has reduced to 5.80 lakh cusecs.

Chhattisgarh weather update: Raipur Meteorological Centre, in the afternoon, said Bastar, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Kanker, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bilaspur, Korba, Mahasamund, Raipur, Balodabazar and Sukma would witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
