Heavy rains since Friday had caused a flood-like situation in Badlapur and Wangani in Thane district. The Ulhas river near Badlapur breached its banks, leading to water-logging in many areas.

The Mughal Road and the Doda-Kishtwar highway were closed for traffic due to landslides triggered by heavy rains in Jammu region on Thursday, officials said. The landslide occurred at Poshana on the Mughal Road, which lead to the closure of the route. Several vehicles are stranded and efforts are being made to clear the blockade, they said.

At least six people have been killed and two people left injured after a wall of Singhad College in Ambegaon in Pune district collapsed due to heavy rains on Tuesday night.
The incident happened at 1.15 AM on Tuesday. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has reached the spot and rescue operation are underway. It is said seversl people have been trapped under the debris.
Those injured in the wall collapse incident have been admitted to the hospital.

Heavy rains, snow lash Himachal, Uttarakhand
All government and private schools will remain closed in tribal district of Kinnaur on Monday as per the directions issued by Deputy Commissioner Gopal Chand, an official said Sunday.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, and the maximum temperature was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius during the day.
