The regional meteorological centre in its bulletin stated that Delhi is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with heatwave conditions at isolated places with strong winds (speed 25-35 kmph) during the day.

Delhi weather: "As the daytime temperature in Delhi crosses over 40 degrees Celsius during the summer season this is detrimental to the health of the children and adolescents studying in schools. The rise in temperature in NCR has led to the increased instance of heat-related illness," it said.
Power supply in India: The railway ministry assured the availability of enough racks for transport of coal. The power ministry has directed NTPC to run its 5,000 MW gas-based power stations during the crunch periods of April and May.
Goa heatwave alert: "The maximum temperature over Goa is likely to remain 4-6 degree Celsius higher than its normal value," it said. On Wednesday the daytime temperature in the capital city was 38.4 degree Celsius, which was 4.6 degree Celsius above average.
Weather update: The Weather Department said that during the upcoming hot weather season (March to May), above-normal maximum temperatures are likely over most parts of northeast India, east, and central India and some parts of northwest India.
