The health ministry has directed institutions to prioritise patient care and increase hospital bed availability. Meanwhile, Assam faces severe floods and landslides, affecting over 160,000 people and resulting in more than 30 deaths.
In the last 24 hours, severe weather in Uttar Pradesh has resulted in five deaths, including two minors. Three individuals died in Shahjahanpur when strong winds caused a temporary shed to collapse.
The deaths have been majorly reported from Aurangabad, Gaya and Nawada districts. Heatwave has killed 184 so far in Bihar.
