Covid-19: In a letter to the states on Saturday, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan stated it is essential that the required public health measures be implemented in all of the states to address any emergencies amid an increase in the Covid trajectory in several countries.
Earlier, the guidelines required that passengers arriving in India from overseas should fill up the Air Suvidha form. The form was introduced in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said all healthcare facilities should report Influenza Like Illness (ILI) cases, and District Surveillance Officer (DSO) will be responsible to analyse the data.
The guidelines explain the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures, IPC at home, patient isolation and ambulance transfer strategies, additional precautions that need to be taken care of and the duration of isolation procedures.
Though there has not been an official notification from the health ministry, the ABVP said the discussion regarding the postponement of the NEET PG exam was positive.
States may also utilize Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) as well as community-level awareness materials regarding the precautions to be taken by the population to safeguard themselves against heatwaves, the Centre said.
