Earlier on Jan 28, Mandaviya conducted a high-level meeting with Southern states and UT's Health Minister's and stressed upon e-Sanjeevani, teleconsultation etc.
As per the sources, health ministers of AP, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands will attend the meeting.
As omicron spreads ever more gloom around the country ahead of New Year's Eve, governments are moving at different speeds to contain the scourge, with some reimposing restrictions immediately.
The theme of the summit is "Opportunities and Partnerships in Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices."
Mansukh Mandaviya is also likely to visit Guwahati in Assam on August 17 for holding a review meeting, sources said.
