Haryana Election Results: The results of the Haryana Assembly election is shocking for Congress as the grand old party was confident to return to power, riding on anti-incumbency against the BJP government. Haryana Assembly election result 2024: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was leading from his Ladwa seta in Kurukshetra district, while Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda was ahead of his rivals in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency in Rohtak district.
Talking about the expected victory of the party, Hooda credited the efforts of Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge along with the support of the people of Haryana.
In the early trends, Congress was leading in over 60 assemblies, however, as the counting went on BJP crossed 45 mark in the fourth round while Congress was leading only in 34 seats.
Garhi Sampla Kiloi seat in Rohtak is the stronghold of Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The veteran Congress leader is contesting against Manju Hooda, the daughter of Pradeep Yadav, a retired deputy superintendent of police.
