"We have yet to get complete information about the incident. As per preliminary reports, QRT (Quick Response Team of state police) was going a place where torching of vehicles (by Naxals) had taken place," Hansraj Ahir said.
Ahir, the Union Minister of State for Home, said, "We had decided to suspend operations in view of Ramzan. However, there is no respite in cross-border terrorism and ceasefire violations on the part of Pakistan."
The Minister also advised all States and UTs that prison inmates should also be Aadhaar seeded so that various aspects of day to day prison administration can be regulated by use of Aadhaar.
Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir said that the highest number of communal incidents in 2017 were reported in Uttar Pradesh where 44 people were killed and 542 others were injured in 195 communal incidents.
