The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released the first list of its candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections 2017
The meeting, which will be attended by the party's senior leaders including those from the poll-bound state, is likely to be chaired by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
The announcement of the poll dates by the EC sets in force the model code of conduct - banning the use of government machinery or announcements to influence voters.
