According to the exit poll conducted by India TV-VMR (Votersmood Research), BJP is likely to get seats within a range of 108-118. Congress is expected to bag seats within a range of 61-71.
The figure is likely to go up as details are still being worked out, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha told media persons.
The opinion poll projects BJP to win 113 out of a total of 182 assembly seats, while the main rival Congress is projected to win 66 seats, with three remaining seats going to 'Others'. 'Others' include Bhartiya Tribal Party (a Congress ally) and two

Undeterred by the police warning, Congress workers kept marching towards the ECI office after being stopped outside Sardar Patel Bhawan near Patel Chowk.

After casting the vote at the Nishan High School, he showed his inked finger to thousands of supporters who had gathered outside the school in Ranip locality of Sabaramati constituency, amid chants of "Modi Modi".

Voting in 93 assembly constituencies across 14 districts in northern and central regions is underway and will continue till 5 pm.

As per the Election Commission schedule, polling will begin at 8 am and conclude at 5 pm. A total of 25,575 polling booths have been set up in 14,523 places.
