The government is planning to launch lottery offer under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from April 1 by conducting lucky draws every month for invoices of all business to customer (B2C) transactions.
GSTN said that the GST return filing system is working within expected limits. "Had it not been so, how more than 11.52 lakh GSTR3B (October) returns could have been filed yesterday with about 1.82 lakh returns filed in a peak hour," it said
Matching of invoices of e-way bills with the sales shown in GSTR-1 will help taxmen in assessing whether the supplies have been accurately shown in sales return and GST paid on the same, tax experts said.
After GST Councils clearance, the proposal would go to the Union Cabinet since GSTN will become a public company.
The Finance Ministry had said that it wants GST-N to detail system readiness before re-introducing the requirement for transporters to carry an e-way bill for moving goods between states.

Around 56 percent of the registered taxpayers filed their GSTR-3B returns for October within due date.
The CAIT has also sought a third party audit into technical and other issues related to the GSTN portal.
'It has been a disappointing experience,' an official said referring to Infosys' slow response to issues affecting the GST Network.
Pointing out that nine functionalities could still not be operationalised, Sushil Modi said Infosys was doing its best.
The deadline for filing the initial returns in GSTR-3B for September under the Goods and Services Tax regime was October 20 midnight.
The last date for filing GSTR-1 forms for the month of July ends today, October 10.
