    Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, residents of Hyderabad have decided to bring home eco-friendly Ganesha idols this year. In order to protect the environment, many followers of Lord Ganesha vowed to reject idols made of chemicals, plaster of paris, plastic and hot melt glue, and chose idols made of biodegradable natural materials such as clay. Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival, will begin from September 10 this year.
