While the fire was almost almost extinguished, an LPG cylinder on the third floor of the building exploded, spreading fire on that floor. The blaze was, however, extinguished quickly.
The fire incident in the busy market created chaos but police rushed to the spot and controled the situation. People living in the adjacent builings were alerted after fire started spreading.
The police said they filed a case and launched a probe to ascertained the exact reason of the fire incident.
The fire brigade officials doused the fire before it could have spread further. The building was vacated as soon as the fire was spooted.
According to the locals, the explosion created chaos in the market but soon police and fire brigade officials controlled the situation and doused the fire.
The Baby Care New Born Hospital caught fire around 11:30 pm on Saturday and spread to two adjacent buildings. Twelve newborns were rescued from the facility but seven of them died.

BJP MLA from Gandhi Nagar, Anil Bajpai, voiced his concern over the lack of a fire station in the area. I met the Lieutenant Governor in pursuance of this matter and the file is in process, he added.
According to the railway authorities, the fire brigade officials rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. No one has been injured in the fire incident, they said.
The blaze at the shopping mall killed 46 individuals while over 20 people were hospitalised in critical condition. The fire may have been caused due to a gas leak or a stove, say fire authorities, as it quickly spread to the upper floors.
