Ferran Corominas (5th and 35th) struck twice and goals from Hugo Boumous and Jackichand Singh gave the home side their third win.
The visitors had several opportunities to score the equalizer as they won several free headers inside the Goa box but just could not test Nawaz.
FC Goa handed defending champions Chennaiyin FC a 3-1 defeat in an Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
Chennaiyin FC coach John Gregory said the team will look to bounce back after the loss to Bengaluru FC in the opener.

For four successive years, NorthEast United FC have tried but failed to win a place in the playoffs.
Grassroots coach, Naresh Virnodkar has been handed the role as coach of the team as training for the league has begun at the Chowgule Sports Centre in Margao.
Chennaiyin now face Bengaluru FC at the grande finale on March 17 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore.
Backed by a vociferous home crowd, FC Goa went into attacking mode from the start and enjoyed better share of ball possession.
In the nine matches the two sides have played, Goa won four and Chennaiyin five, including the famous final in 2015.
A draw will be enough for Goa to make it to the last four stage since they are already a point ahead of Jamshedpur.
It was FC Goa's first-ever win over ATK as the hosts dominated most part of the match with Sergio Juste Marin (10th), Lanzarote (15th and 21st), Ferran Corominas Telechea (64th) and substitute Markos Johannus (90th) sounding the board for them.
The resounding victory, which was also Goa's first clean sheet this season, lifted them to the sixth spot with 24 points under their belt while Pune remained one rung behind table-toppers Bengaluru FC.
The draw took FC Goa to 21 points from 15 matches to remain on sixth place in the league table. Delhi Dynamos are now at ninth place with 12 points from 15 matches.
Chennainyin thus put themselves in a strong position for a place in the play-off after grabbing the third place with 27 points from 15 matches.
The Sunil Chhetri led Bengaluru FC also are on the verge of creating ISL history -- if they win their next match against Pune FC it will be a record sixth on the trot.
The Goans however have a match in hand and can move to the top of the table if they can defeat Mumbai City FC in their next match at home coming Sunday.
Ferran Corominas scored his 10th goal of the season for Goa in the 7th minute while another Spaniard, Edu Bedia, secured the winner in the 77th minute after CK Vineeth had drawn Blasters' to level in the 29th minute.
Courtesy this win, FC Goa have collected 16 points from nine matches, the same as Pune City but are placed behind them on fourth place in the table.
