Jammu and Kashmir's urban body elections are to be held in October after a gap of 13 years and the Panchayat elections are to be held after a gap of 7 years, in the month of November and December.
Jammu and Kashmir recently witnessed protests by separatists against any change in Article 35A and Article 370.
There is the vested interest that wants to crack everything, Abdullah, the Member of Parliament from Srinagar, said.
While the urban local body polls are slated for the first week of October, the Panchayat elections are scheduled to be held in November-December this year.
Without taking specific names, Abdullah said there were certain powers who do not want peace in the valley as their "livelihood flourishes on violence".

Security personnel stationed at former Jammu and Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah's house in Jammu went into a tizzy on Saturday morning when a speeding SUV rammed into the boundary wall.
