Farmers protest Day 2: The Haryana government extended the ban on mobile internet and bulk SMS services in 7 districts by two days till Feb 15 in view of the farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' agitation. These districts are Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa.
The Bhartiya Kisan Union has reiterated that it will go ahead with its plan to take out a big tractor rally on Republic Day if their demands are not accepted by the Centre on the farm laws.
Thousands of farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, are currently staying put at Delhi's borders with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in protest against three farm laws.

A cultural programme 'Ek Sham Kisan Ke Naam' dedicated to farmers would be held at the Ramlila ground on the first day of the congregation, where prominent singers and poets would perform.
The farmers have plans to hold a demonstration near Vidhan Bhawan, where the state legislature session is underway, over demands of implementation of the Swaminathan Committee report.
Ajit Nawale of the All India Kisan Sabha, which has organised the march, said that senior Sena leader and PWD Minister Eknath Shinde met protesting long march leaders when it entered neighbouring Thane earlier today.
The 180-km-long march is being organised by All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS). It began on March 6 from here and culminate in Mumbai on March 12.
