Earlier on June 17, the Uttarakhand government had ordered the Haridwar district administration to register an FIR in the COVID testing scam during the Mahakumbh.
The action is based on the recommendation of a probe committee set up by the Haridwar District Magistrate to look into the fake testing scam.
The ED said it has seized "incriminating documents, bogus bills, laptops, mobile phones and property documents and Rs 30.9 lakh cash" during the raids that were ongoing.
A bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni directed the Centre to approve Mumbai civic body's plan of action, "with or without modifications, within 7-days" from now.
