Faiz Fazal played the only ODI for India way back in 2016 and was never picked again. But he was a veteran for Vidarbha, his state team, in the domestic circuit playing 137 first-class, 113 List A and 66 T20 matches during his career that spanned across 21 years.
Vidarbha has been placed in Elite Group B, along with Andra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab and Tamil Nadu and will be playing their matches in Indore.
Faiz, who scored 1,001 and 942 first-class runs in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 respectively, represented India in a solitary ODI against Zimbabwe in 2016 where he scored a half-century.
