Motiwala, one of the trusted aides of Dawood Ibrahim, was arrested in London in August 2018 on money laundering and drug trafficking charges, following a tip-off from the FBI.
Mallya, who is facing charges of defaulting on bank loans to the tune of Rs 9,000 crore, fraud and money-laundering, had moved the High Court after the Westminster Magistrates Court, on December 10, 2018, gave the go-ahead for his extradition.
The court had earlier this month issued open-ended NBWs against the four promoters of the Gujarat pharma firm in the case.
Rana, 58, a resident of Chicago, was arrested in 2009 on the charges of plotting the 26/11 terror attack. In 2013, Rana was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release by US District Judge Harry Leinenweber.
