Arvind Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on September 13, hours after the Supreme Court granted him bail in a corruption case related to the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam.

Arvind Kejriwal out of Tihar Jail: After his release, hundreds of AAP leaders and workers gathered outside Tihar jail to welcome Arvind Kejriwal. Braving the rains, several senior AAP leaders including the chief minister's wife Sunita Kejriwal waited for the AAP supremo to walk out of the jail.
Arvind Kejriwal news updates: The court has also accepted the request for sending the release warrant through special messenger for early release. The development comes after the Supreme Court earlier in the day granted him bail in a corruption case related to the alleged excise scam.
The Supreme Court gave a major relief to Arvind Kejriwal as it granted bail to the Delhi Chief Minister in the excise policy case on Friday. The top court, however, set certain conditions for the bail.
The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal on a bail bond of Rs 10 lakh and two sureties in the Delhi excise policy 'scam', directing him to not make any public remarks on the case. The AAP chief was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on June 26.
The Delhi Chief Minister was arrested by the CBI on June 26. On August 14, the Supreme Court had refused to grant interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the case and sought a response from the probe agency on his plea challenging his arrest.

The ED arrested Kavitha (46) from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad on March 15. The CBI arrested her on April 11 from Tihar jail. Kavitha has denied all allegations.
The flag-hoisting incident comes in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision to deny interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal. The Delhi CM is currently facing allegations in a corruption case related to an excise policy scam, which was filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The excise policy, which was scrapped in 2022 following an investigation ordered by the Delhi lieutenant governor, has been at the centre of the controversy. Both the CBI and ED alleged that irregularities and undue favours were granted during the policy's modification and execution.
Delhi's Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia visited the Hanuman Temple at Connaught Place from where he, along with other AAP leaders, reached Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26 from Tihar Jail, where he is still lodged in judicial custody.
Sisodia, who also served as excise minister in the Delhi government, was arrested by the CBI on February 26 last year in connection with the case. Later, he resigned from the office of Deputy Chief Minister.
Delhi liquor policy scam: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by CBI on June 26 from Tihar Jail, where he is still lodged in judicial custody in a connected money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
The Supreme Court on June 4 had refused to entertain Sisodia's bail pleas in the two cases. It had said Sisodia could revive his petitions for bail after the ED and the CBI file the final prosecution complaint and the charge sheet, respectively, in these cases.
