The Union Labour and Employment Ministry has notified amendment to the Employees' Provident Funds (EPF) Scheme to allow withdrawal of non-refundable advance by the members in the event of COVID-19 pandemic.
As many as 65 lakh beneficiaries will receive pension by March 30 amid the coronavirus lockdown. The Retirement fund body EPFO directed its 135 field offices to ensure the payment of pension by the end of March.
