Earthquake in Nepal: According to the National Seismological Center (NSC) of Nepal, the Far-West region of the country recorded three tremors- two earthquakes and one aftershock in the past 24 hours.

Following the quake in Taiwan, Japan Meteorological Agency issued an advisory for a tsunami as high as 1 meter (3 feet) reaching several southern Japanese islands.
The extent of the damage and whether there have been serious injuries or deaths from the quake were not clear in the immediate aftermath in the remote and underdeveloped region.
