Earthquake of 4.6 magnitude hits near Manipur's Ukhrul

The quake's epicentre was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), it further said.
The earthquake was felt in Lanzhou, the Gansu provincial capital, where university students rushed out of their dorms, according to a social media post that had images showing young people standing outside.
Four earthquakes jolted Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday. The tremors were felt in Ladakh's Kargil and Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar.
As many as four back-to-back earthquakes within minutes, struck Kargil in Laddakh and Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed.

The second earthquake of 3.7 magnitude was noted at 4.29 pm at a depth of 5 km below the surface at a latitude of 35.23 and longitude of 77.59 degrees, the National Centre for Seismology said.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said that based on the magnitude and location it expected tsunami waves to hit the southern Philippines and parts of Indonesia, Palau and Malaysia.
After Pakistan was jolted by an earthquake on Tuesday morning, subsequent tremors were felt in New Guinea and Xizang.
Earthquake in Nepal: According to the Nepal Seismological Center, the tremors were felt at around 1.20 am and the epicentre was at Chitlang area in the district.
According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake was at a depth of 10 kilometres.
Sri Lanka earthquake: According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were felt at around 12:31 IST and the epicentre was over 1300 km from the national capital, Colombo.
India has become the first country to dispatch emergency relief materials to the earthquake-hit districts in Nepal.
Iceland scientists are closely monitoring the situation for any indication that the seismic activity is getting closer to the surface, which could be an indication that the magma is breaking through the earth’s crust, the Met Office said.
Earlier, at least 157 people were killed and over 150 others injured when a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake, the worst since 2015, struck Nepal.

The consignment comprising nine tonnes of emergency relief materials from India arrived in Nepalgunj on Monday after PM Modi promised to extend assistance to the earthquake-prone country. Meanwhile, another earthquake of 5.6 magnitude struck Nepal on the same day.
