Heroin valued Rs 30 crore was confiscated from an individual in a village by Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police during a collaborative operation along the India-Myanmar border in Champhai district of Mizoram. The suspect has been apprehended.
Mumbai news: "880 grams of cocaine drugs were recovered from the accused, which is worth Rs 9 crore in the international market," the police said. According to the Sakinaka Police, the action was taken on the basis of secret information.
The police recovered 70 gm of charas, 0.41 gm of LSD, 2.10 gm of Ecstasy pills, 200 gm of ganja and alcohol from the scene, and also seized 21 motorcycles, the official said, adding that the total value of the seizure was Rs 8 lakh.

Around 248 grams of heroin was smuggled from Myanmar to be sold in Mizoram. The accused has been arrested by state excise and narcotics department.

According to Assam Riffles officials, the market value of the seized heroin is estimated at Rs 18.30 crore and the unaccounted cash was in the Indian currency notes.
The illegal substance was recovered from Tarn Taran's Wan village by BSF along with the Punjab Police.

The accused Lalit Patil had escaped from a government-run hospital in Pune after he was helped by two women who have also been held in the case. The women gave Patil Rs 25 lakh when he landed in Nashik after his escape, police claimed.
