After the biggest drug haul in Delhi, police led to other major narcotics recoveries in the national capital and Gujarat. The Delhi police unveiled that the drug was brought in from South American countries and was purified in a factory in Gujarat before supplying to other parts of the country.
As per officials, the seizure is suspected to be linked with the earlier recovery of 562 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs 5,000 crore from southwest Delhi's Mahipalpur.
The drug firms like Torrent Pharma, Sun Pharma, Alkem Laboratories and Glenmark termed the medicines flagged in the report as "counterfeits" and not manufactured by them while asserting that their products conform to quality standards.
