Kristoffer Böttzauw, head of the Danish Energy Agency, said emissions from the three leaks on the underwater Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines correspond to approximately 32% of annual Danish carbon dioxide emissions. Danish emissions in 2020 were approximately 45 million tonnes of CO2.

The shooting happened in the late afternoon at Field’s, one of the biggest shopping malls in Scandinavia and located on the outskirts of the Danish capital.
Copenhagen police said that one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting at the Field’s shopping mall.

I am very honoured that we are able to welcome you, my friend, Prime Minister Modi to Denmark. Once again, welcome! I am also very happy that we are with all of you this afternoon."
PM Modi said it is the "inclusiveness and cultural diversity" that powers the Indian community to feel alive in every moment and these values have developed within Indians for thousands of years.
Underlining that India had "no hand in exploiting our Mother Earth", PM Modi said,"We have taken on the challenge of saving her. By 2070, we have set Net Zero target...India has been able to fulfil its climate action because, unlike others who put all the responsibility of saving the planet on multilateral organisations, we see it as a responsibility of each citizen to do their bit to save the world."
PM Modi, who is on official visit to the Nordic nation, told the gathering there is great scope of investing in green technology. He further said the business worlds of India and Denmark have often worked together in the past.
The Prime Minister was received by his Danish counterpart at the airport where leaders exchanged pleasantries. An Indian group with dhols was also present to welcome PM Modi at the airport.
The Prime Minister asked toddler's parents "what's his name" and played with the kid via hand gestures. The adorable moments were captured on camera.
On the second leg of his three-nation Europe tour, PM Modi was received by Danish PM Mette Frederiksen at the airport, after he arrived there concluding Germany visit. PM Modi took a private tour of the residence of Danish PM in Copenhagen. Both the leaders indulged in tête-à-tête at the residence.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a three day tour of Europe -- Germany, Denmark, France -- India on Sunday once again called for cessation of hostility in Ukraine and to resolving the conflict by means of dialogue and diplomacy.
Modi will embark on a three-day visit to Germany, Denmark and France from May 2 amid the Ukraine crisis, which has united much of Europe against Russia.
Danish PM Mette Frederiksen said that as of Feb 1 Danes will enjoy free access to restaurants, cafes, museums and nightclubs, while mask use will cease to be mandatory.

PM Modi received Mette Frederiksen at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, where she was accorded a ceremonial welcome. She also paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
