Delhi dengue cases: Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar on Tuesday informed that a total of 14,077 dengue cases have been reported in the country till June this year.

Delhi has so far reported a total of 5,277 dengue cases in 2021 of which 2,569 cases were recorded in last week ending Nov 13, as per the report of municipal corporation.
According to the report on vector-borne diseases, a total of 5,277 dengue cases were recorded this year till November 13.
Commenting on the situation, the chief medical officer said, "Out of the total cumulative cases reported, 628 patients come from urban areas whereas the rest 244 are reported from rural areas."
Delhi HC on Tuesday issued notice to Delhi govt and North Delhi Municipal Corporation regarding an action plan to control dengue outbreak in Delhi.
A central team has arrived in the state and it will share its expertise with the officials over the control of the disease and also know about the measures implemented by the government against dengue, state Health Minister Ma Subramanian told reporters.
The national capital in the past one week has reported 1,171 dengue cases, taking Delhi's total tally to 2,708 for this year so far. So far 9 people have died including 3 in last week, South Delhi Municipal Corporation informed on Monday.
These 9 states and union territories are Haryana, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, TN, UP, Uttarakhand, Delhi and J&K.
The Centre has asked the Delhi government to procure dengue NS1 ELISA testing kits to maximise dengue testing in Delhi.
The notification also said that legal action will be taken against individuals or institutions found not following adequate measures or not informing about the cases to the authorities.
Islamabad District Health Officer Zaeem Zia told local media that 57 patients were reported in the suburbs of the capital city and 66 in the urban areas, reports Xinhua news agency.
