The Delhi government on Thursday rejected the mercy plea of one of the convicts Mukesh in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. The mercy plea was then forwarded to Lieutenant Governor, who has now sent it to Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
"The IRCTC informed us on Tuesday that it's cancelling trains of the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana due to non-availability of rakes. We will discuss the issue with IRCTC and the Railway Minister and try to resolve it soon", Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said.
The total revenue receipts of the Delhi government rose to Rs 38,667.27 crore in 2017-18 as compared to Rs 34,345.74 crore in the previous year, stated a CAG report tabled in the Assembly on Tuesday.

The time limit for various categories of liquors was three, five and eight days after which they had to be destroyed.
Making the announcement, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged people to give 10 minutes every Sunday towards curbing mosquito breeding in their homes. He said for 10 Sundays between September 1 and November 15 -- the peak season for the diseases -- he will check his own home at 10 a.m. for 10 minutes to ensure there is no stagnant water for dengue mosquitoes to breed.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said attempts are being made to create a "false impression" by vested interests that the AAP government is against the implementation of the Commission's recommendation, which is "completely baseless".
Earlier on November 1, the apex court bench comprising justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan had reserved its verdict on the petitions challenging the notifications issued by the Centre and the Delhi government.
The delegation representing the army and the ministry said no land was available to be handed over to the DoE to shift the school and suggested that students studying there be relocated to other schools being run by the state government in the cantonment area.
A bench of justices S Ravindra Bhat and A K Chawla issued the direction on a fresh PIL by an auto driver seeking directions to the authorities to prevent large-scale burning of effigies in the national capital.
"Unfortunately and tragically, the central government has now filed an affidavit that it is not prepared to make any payment at all," the bench said.
"Sought time to meet Lt Governor today to seek his support and cooperation in the implementation of the order of SC and in the development of Delhi," Kejriwal tweeted.

The AAP government’s directive comes following the report of a comiittee constituted by the Delhi High Court for examining the records of private schools in respect of implementation of the 6th Central Pay Commission recommendations.
"As far as Delhi is concerned, there are only three relevant boards - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)," the govt said.
