"Around 97 per cent of these 450 flights were either departing or arriving beyond their scheduled time due to dense fog that remained till around 10.20am. Rest were either diverted or cancelled," an official said.
A day after experiencing the coldest day of the season, Delhi woke up to a foggy morning on Sunday with the minimum temperature recorded at 6.4 degree Celsius.
The Railways had to cancel 36 trains, reschedule 30 while 85 trains were running late due to fog across the northern region, according to official data.
Also rail and road services have been badly affected. As many as 20 trains have been rescheduled, while 15 others coming to the national capital cancelled. A total of 56 trains have also been delayed today due to poor visibility.
