A fire broke out at a factory in west Delhi's Mundka area on Monday night, officials of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said.
A factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi area engulfed in flames in the early hours of Thursday after which a blast was reported on the site. The factory further collapsed and several people are trapped under the debris. A call about the fire was received at 4:23 in the morning.
Fire was reported at two separate factories in Narela Industrial area of Delhi, early on Tuesday. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot as soon as they received a call about the incident.
Thousands of illegal buildings house factories with practically no safety measures, BJP's Vijay Goel said. A magisterial inquiry and Rs 10 lakh compensation will not help, he said, adding half of the buildings in the Chandni Chowk area in old Delhi were dilapidated.
A total of 43 people had died in the massive blaze that broke out at a factory in Delhi in the wee hours of Sunday. Many others were admitted to various hospitals with serious burn injuries. Most of those dead in the Delhi factory fire hailed from Bihar.
Thick smoke was seen rising from the 3rd and 4th floors of the Delhi factory, that had engulfed in flames in Sunday. The incident had claimed the lives of 43 people.
The dead and injured in the Delhi factory fire incident were taken to LNJP, Lady Hardinge and RML hospitals, where distraught people had a hard time finding their family members. Some recalled the heart-wrenching last phone calls made by their loved ones.
