A Delhi court on Monday dismissed a complaint filed by the father of one of the four death row convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case, seeking an FIR against the sole witness in the matter for allegedly giving interviews to various news channels after charging money.
A Delhi court Thursday dismissed the bail plea of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh in a case related to alleged misappropriation of funds at Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL).
The woman had claimed in her complaint that some persons had visited her house and threatened her to withdraw the case.
The court allowed Vadra to travel abroad while hearing his plea seeking the court's permission after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed its response.
esides Quddusi, the court also summoned B P Yadav and Palash Yadav of Prasad Educational Trust which runs a medical college in Lucknow, alleged middleman Biswanath Agrawala, alleged hawala operator Ramdev Saraswat, Bhavna Pandey and Sudhir Giri as accused in the case.
Additional District Judge Sandeep Garg passed the directions on a complaint filed through advocate Vijay Aggarwal, who claimed that the content of the film was "defamatory" as "it makes insinuations and judgments about the life of the plaintiff (Kochhar)".
Special Judge Sandeep Yadav extended the ED custody of both the accused till November 23 on a plea moved by the probe agency's special public prosecutor Nitesh Rana.
Puri moved the bail plea through advocate Vijay Agarwal on Saturday, saying he was not required for further investigation and no purpose will be served by keeping him in custody.
Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar granted permission to Tharoor to visit Dubai from November 14 to 18. Tharoor had told the court that he was invited there to attend a meeting of Sir Bani Yas Forum
The court further directed the Delhi Police Crime Branch, which is probing the cases, to preserve all relevant CCTV footage available of the incident.

A Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) granted Rs 67.48 lakh compensation to the family of an SDMC employee who died in a road accident and to her husband who had suffered injuries in the mishap.
The court asked the chairperson of DCW to nominate a team of two counsellors to assess the family's residential requirements and assist them in in locating and providing suitable place in Delhi at a reasonable rate on rent or in any government accommodation for a period of at least 11 months, he said.
