Speaking exclusively to India TV, Sarangi said that AAP government wanted to release an advertisement claiming 80 per cent downfall in corruption cases in last three years.
On Wednesday, it was also emerged that Prakash’s medical examination, conducted on Tuesday night after an FIR was registered in the case, mentions injuries on his face and elsewhere.
This shameful incident took place around midnight on Monday, when the chief secretary was summoned for a meeting by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
In his letter to police on Tuesday, Anshu Prakash had also said that VK Jain had asked him to come to Kejriwal’s house on Monday midnight.
Earlier, Jarwal and Ajay Dutt, AAP MLAs from Deoli and Ambedkar Nagar respectively, had claimed the bureaucrat made casteist remarks. They have lodged a complaint against him with the Delhi Police and the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.
The party has confirmed that Jarwal has been detained by South Delhi Police from his Defence Colony residence.
The BJP and the Congress attacked the AAP based on the Chief Secretary's allegations, with the BJP demanding Kejriwal's resignation and the Congress asking for the AAP chief's apology.
The home minister said the home ministry has sought a report on the incident from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and "justice will be done".
