Delhi has continued to choke under the 'severe' category of air pollution for the last few days. The restrictions under stage III of the GRAP were imposed on Friday by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
The air pollution condition has worsened in Delhi NCR as AQI remains in severe category for the second consecutive day. The Delhi government has implemented GRAP III restrictions in Delhi.
The Congress general secretary said Delhi's pollution gets worse every year. She compared Delhi's condition with Wayanad, from where she is contesting the Lok Sabha bypoll. The voting in Wayanad took place on Wednesday.
The air quality in Delhi has further deteriorated to the 'severe' category as the AQI level crossed 400 on Thursday morning. Additionally, a dense layer of smog also enveloped the national capital.

Key locations such as IGI Airport (T3), New Moti Bagh, and Punjabi Bagh register 'very poor' air quality, with AQI ranging from 355 to 397. Notably, areas like ITO, Anand Vihar, and Ashok Vihar hit the 'severe' category, recording AQI levels of 400 to 415.
Efforts are being made to tackle pollution and improve air quality in the region, amid ongoing concerns about the environmental impact on public health.
