The Bombay High Court on Thursday will be hearing a plea over the recent deaths at government hospitals in Maharashtra. This comes after an advocate submitted a letter to a high court bench urging it to take suo motu cognizance of deaths.

Bharatpur road accident: The bus had halted at Antra flyover in the Lakhanpur area when the trailer rammed into it from behind. Five men and six women died on the spot, the police said.
Assam road accident news: The incident took place late Tuesday night in the Kakopathar area where a speedy truck hit a Tata Magic vehicle where the deceased and injured persons were travelling.
The deceased, identified as Senthil Kumar, his mother Pushpavathi, cousin Mohan and another relative Rathinambal, were found dead with several cut injuries on their bodies near the house located close to Senthil Kumar's shop in Kallakinaru, Palladam, said police.
Thane building collapse: The single-storey building having six flats is located on Durga Road in Dhobi Talao area of Bhiwandi town collapsed at 12:35 am, Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said.
Bihar illicit liquor: “After my grandson Anshu Paswan consumed liquor he is not well. I have informed the local police. The situation of my grandson is critical and he is admitted to GMCH Bettiah. Two persons from my village have died so far,” said Prabhawati Devi, the grandmother of a victim.

Gujarat road accident: The trio was heading to Chotila town in neighbouring Surendranagar district when the accident occurred on the Sami-Sankheshwar state highway at around 3:00 am, a spokesperson from Sami police station said.
Saharanpur news: On Wednesday, police recovered four bodies from the drain. The victims were identified as Sulochana, 58, Manglesh, 50, and Aditi and Arjun, both aged five and 12. Five bodies recovered on Thursday are yet to be identified, Manglik said.
Noida factory explosion: "Three workers suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital where two were declared dead by doctors while the third is undergoing treatment," a police spokesperson said.
Jharkhand well collapse: Meanwhile, personnel of the National Disaster Response Force said efforts are underway to rescue the five people trapped inside the well, and that the death toll is not immediately known.
