Curiosity, which landed on Mars in 2012, was sent on a mission to determine the planet's "habitability." It is currently keeping its "eyes" on a dust event that went global by June 20.
NASA said that its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter had captured a photo on January 24, 2018 which showed the accumulation of crescent-shaped sand dunes.
NASA has not yet provided clues on what the new results are about, but it said that during the event, NASA scientists will have chats with the the public and media on the findings, public can send questions on social media.
