In the wake of a surge in COVID- 19 infections, the government had on January 9 issued guidelines that included curfew from 11 pm on Saturday to 5 am on Monday and it came into effect late on January 15.
As per extant guidelines, 100 percent sitting is allowed in metro trains. However, no standing passengers are allowed in the trains.
Cinema, halls, pubs, bars and restaurants will operate at 50% capacity. For wedding functions, 200 people are allowed if organized in open spaces, and 100 if organized in closed spaces.
The restrictions have been extended in view of the coronavirus situation. As per the new order, the Covid curfew will come into effect from October 5, 6 am and will remain in force till October 19.
The decision was announced after the Covid Expert Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
An order issued by District Magistrate Mohammad Aijaz said that strict curfew shall come into force from Friday itself in areas falling under Zadibal and Lal Bazar municipal wards.
As per the new order, the Covid curfew will come into effect from September 21, 6 am and will remain in force till October 5.
