The three laws are said to be victim and justice-oriented and focus on providing justice to victims in a time-bound manner with complete transparency. Indian Railways has also launched Sangyaan App, a mobile application to provide in-depth information on the three new criminal laws.
The new criminal laws that will replace the existing ones will come into effect from July 1 this year. CJI said that the enactment of these laws is an indicator that "India is changing".
