The man allegedly killed his partner and then died by suicide on the railway track. The police later recovered the body of the woman in a hotel room.
The accused has been identified as Tayyab who confessed to this grievous deed. He allegedly cited financial constraints that prevented him from affording medical treatment for his infant daughter.
The woman had ran away and married to a man of another caste a year ago. Her father and brother, who were against this marriage, abducted her and killed her, in a case of honour killing.
The accused, a class 10 student, who has been apprehended by the police initially tried to claim that two thieves had entered the house and killed the girl but later confessed to the murder.
After the incident, two accused were arrested and booked for murder. The police said the incident occurred on June 30 at around 10 pm.

An eight-member team from the Delhi Police conducted searches in Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Delhi, managing to arrest six suspects. During these operations, the team recovered a total of Rs 30 lakh in cash.
The gang is said to have duped hundreds of students to the tune of crores of rupees. The police said that the gang used social media platforms to target gullible aspirants.
During the interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that he had a long-standing dispute with the victim, The police have launched an operation to nab others involved in the crime.
According to the police, from the initial examination of the dead body, it has been found that the death is due to strangulation.
