India reported 30,256 new COVID-19 cases, 295 deaths in the last 24 hours. 43,938 got recovered in the same duration. India has 3,18,181 active cases of COVID as of today. Kerala recorded 19,653 COVID cases, 152 deaths in past 24 hours.
PM Modi on Saturday congratulated the health workers of Goa on the state's achievement of vaccinating 100% of its adult population. In his address, he said, " With your efforts, India made a record of vaccinating 2.5 crore people in a single day. Even countries that are considered prosperous & powerful could not do it."
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on September 09 said that the government has aimed to complete the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination by October 31. "Ganesh Chaturthi has to be celebrated following COVID-19 protocols. We have completed 100% first dose vaccination in the state. We aim to complete the second dose vaccination by 31st October," said the Goa CM.
