Over 38.18 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states and UTs so far through all sources and a further 23,80,080 doses are in the pipeline.
Delta, which was first found in India and is now in over 100 countries, represented 51.7 per cent of new infections in the US over the two weeks ending July 3, Xinhua news agency reported citing the CDC.
The urgency coincides with Europe's summer holiday months, with fair weather bringing more social gatherings and govts reluctant to clamp down on them.
