As many as 16,946 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 1,05,12,093, as per Union Health Ministry's latest bulletin released on Thursday.

A total of 1,46,111 deaths have been reported so far in the country including 48,801 from Maharashtra followed by 12,016 from Karnataka, 11,995 from Tamil Nadu, 10,304 from Delhi, 9,401 from West Bengal, 8,212 from Uttar Pradesh, 7,078 from Andhra Pradesh and 5,212 from Punjab.
Delhi reported 6,224 new COVID-19 cases (out of 61,381 tests), 4,943 recoveries, and 109 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to Delhi Health Department. Total cases: 5,40,541; Total recoveries: 4,93,419; Active cases: 38,501; Death toll: 8,621.

Keeping with the trend of single-day coronavirus recoveries outnumbering daily new cases, 49,082 patients have recuperated from the disease in a day taking the total recoveries to 78.68 lakh which exceed the active infections by 73,56,303, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
India on Saturday registered a record 97,570 coronavirus cases in 24 hours taking the total number of infections to over 46 lakh, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country also recorded the highest deaths in a day with 1,201 in the last 24 hours, the cumulative toll reached 77,472.

India coronavirus cases have crossed 8 lakh-mark, taking confirmed cases toll to 8,20,916 including 2,83,407 active cases, 5,15,386 recovered and 2,21,23 deaths, according to health ministry's figures released on Saturday.

In the last 24 hours, Delhi recorded 359 Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of infected people in the national capital to 7,998, said Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain. In the last 24 hours, 20 deaths have been reported due to the infection, taking the toll to 106, he added.
